After some thirty years in California, including working a number of years in Silicon Valley, Thomas 'Dolby' Morgan Robinson returned to East Anglia, England became active once again in the music business. Tonight, Dolby returned to Denver along with the superb Kevin Armstrong (Guitar) and Matt Hector (Drums) and played to a near capacity crowd at the Bluebird Theater. Dolby known for his solo work ('She Blinded Me With Science', 'Hyperactive' and' I Love You, Goodbye') has also been musically involved with Joni Mitchell, Foreigner, Pink Floyd, Prefab Sprout, George Clinton and Davie Bowie.
Dolby reached deep into his catalog playing rare songs as well as his hits. The songs covered about three decades: from 1982's "The Golden Age of Wireless", to four new songs from 2011's "A Map of the Floating City". Appreciating Dolby is to know not only his hits, but the mufti-textured gems found within his 5 studio releases. Both casual and hardcore fans could find much to like in his performance and song selection.
Recommended songs from "A Map of The Floating City": 'Oceanea', 'To the Lifeboats' and 'I'm Not Your Dog'
